Welcome to The Plough at Wigglesworth

The Plough is a traditional yet stylish country inn with rooms, nestled in the beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire Dales.

You'll find us in the hamlet of Wigglesworth, between the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the Forest of Bowland and the Southern Lakes. From the inn, you’ll enjoy uninterrupted views of Pen-y-Ghent and Ingleborough, two of the renowned Yorkshire Three Peaks. Favoured with vast hills and idyllic countryside, guests relish walking and cycling from the doorstep, as well as visiting the pretty nearby villages of Rathmell, Gargrave and Long Preston, and the market towns of Settle, Clitheroe and Skipton. Guests may recognise our glorious surroundings from the new television series of ‘All Creatures Great and Small.’

Our sizeable grounds include an extensive garden and terrace, where guests can relax with drinks or enjoy a meal surrounded by our magnificent scenery. Here too you’ll find ample free parking, and scope for weddings and events, tipis and marquees.

Inside, deep buttoned banquettes and open fires offer a warm welcome to our guests. Residents and visitors alike can look forward to cosy hospitality and informal dining; muddy boots and hairy hounds are embraced. Eleven imaginatively styled bedrooms complete our boutique haven, with free wi-fi, luxurious en-suite bathrooms, and gloriously comfortable beds.
